🎉 Midnight Madness is the BIGGEST Frosh Week event, held in collaboration between all three SFU engineering programs: Engineering Science from Burnaby, and Sustainable Energy Engineering and Mechatronic Systems Engineering from Surrey!
With 200+ students coming together throughout the night, we're bringing all three engineering communities together for one huge overnight event packed with competitions, activities, and prizes. Expect design challenges, scavenger hunts, karaoke, Capture the Flag, and more, with chances to win big prizes like Apple products, gaming gear, Raspberry Pis, and more.
There will be free pizza, snacks, and drinks supplied throughout the event, and a complimentary breakfast if you make it until morning. Midnight Madness is the ultimate opportunity to meet your future friends and make unforgettable memories. 🎉

Know Before You Go
⏰ Check-In & Orientation
Check-in: 8:00 PM
You must arrive by 8:00 PM. Please be on time!
- Bring your SFU student ID card.
- Check in with your respective student society.
- ENSC students will receive an ENSC Frosh shirt upon arrival.
- MSE and SEE students will receive their respective shirts.
- You MUST wear your Frosh shirt throughout the event.
- Your shirt acts as your food ticket.
- It also allows organizers and hired security to easily identify you as a member of our event.
🍕 Food
Once you have checked in and received your shirt, put it on and grab food!
- Dinner will be available until approximately 8:50–9:00 PM, when we will begin walking to orientation.
- If you arrive late, you can still check in and receive your shirt, but your meal is not guaranteed.
- Seconds will be out for grabs towards the end.
🎒 Bags & Belongings
- ASB 9703 will be locked during activities and reopened during scheduled breaks.
- Bags may be left inside, but we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Valuables can be locked separately upon request, but you will not have regular access to them.
- We have limited key access and cannot repeatedly open the room for individual students throughout the night.
📋 Waiver: Required
Everyone must have a completed waiver to participate.
If you have not submitted one beforehand, you must either:
- Complete the digital waiver before in-person check-in, or
- Fill out a physical waiver provided at check-in.
📣 9:00 PM: Mandatory Orientation
At approximately 8:50–9:00 PM, everyone will walk together to:

⚠️ Before You Come
- Arrive at 8:00 PM
- Bring your SFU Student ID
- Complete or bring your waiver
- Wear your Frosh shirt all night (given during check-in)
- Bring only what you need
